How My Friends Pulled a Swifty on Me…

Well I had a very interesting Sunday afternoon.

My friend Manda, who is in this photo with me, arranged to take me out for a belated birthday celebration.

She said she had the afternoon planned and that it was a surprise. We went out at about 3pm, to have some ice-cream in the park.

When we got back to the car, she said \”oh no, I have left the tickets at your house!\” I said \”what tickets?\” but she wouldn\’t say so I assumed she was taking me out to a movie or something.

So we get back to my house and my keys won\’t open the front door. So we go around to the back door, through the study, I open the door and suddenly I see shadowy people standing all around and they start popping noise makers and shouting \”surprise, happy birthday\”

Needless to say I was totally blown away. That my friends would go to so much trouble for me really touched me more than words can express. No one has ever thrown me a surprise party and it was so sweet of them.

They even had decorated my house with balloons and brought food and Haikal made the most amazing birthday cake for me.

I certainly did not expect that. It caught me totally off guard. I have to say it is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I love them so much and I am lucky to have them as friends.

Thank you guys!!

Love Me xxxxxxx

P.S. Forgot to mention that Pam, my next door neighbour and work colleague has the key to my house just in case she ever needs to feed my girls, so that is how they got in.

OH YES THEY CLEANED UP AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh that sounds so nice. What wonderful friends you have there. You are so lucky. It will be my 40th this year but I doubt if my friends will arrange anything special like that. Enjoy the rest of your day and the next year.

Girl, you deserved it! You are a great person, and obviously have a lot of loving friends! People don’t love you like that unless you’re pretty wonderful!

Well I already wished you Happy Birthday, but here it is again to stay in the party mode: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I think it is the surprise that make life worthwhile. I enjoy giving them as much as I like getting them. Probably more in giving them. Anyway, I was happy to see that you had a wonderful day.

Good friends do not go “through all that trouble” for friends, but they will go to “the extreme” for a friend!
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
It appears you sense how lucky you are to have good friends.
